NewtonSTEM, established in 2011, draws together parents, educators, students and STEM professionals to promote activities, events, opportunities, and resources related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Goals
- Create a clearinghouse of information for Newton parents, students, staff, and community members to share STEM-related ideas, events, and resources
- Encourage student awareness, education and interest in STEM
- Tap parents’ connections and resources to identify and engage regional businesses and institutions to support and enhance STEM programming within Newton Public Schools
