South Shore Autism Center provides multiple services for children and young adults with autism spectrum disorder, including:

  • Intensive center based services – ABA intervention for children aged 18 months to 6 years who are transitioning off of early intervention services. Includes one-on-one, group, and integrated social instruction services, prepares preschool children for public school settings and includes home carryover services that are individualized for each child. Group and individual parent training is included
  • School consultation – program review, program development, staff training, professional development and school-based ABA services
  • Assessments – basic language and learning skills, verbal behavior milestones and placement program, and functional behavior assessment
  • Social skills groups – weekly 2-hour sessions for kids aged 5-13 of age-appropriate activities with systematic instruction, structured based on age, skills and needs of participants
  • Bridge camps – Offered for children aged 3 to 13 during February, April and summer vacations to provide structure, routine and skill maintenance during periods when there are no public school services
  • Parent workshops – parent group workshops for ABA training and learning
