Auburndale Community Nursery School offers childcare programs for children aged 2 years 9 months through 6 years old. With a flexible enrollment structure, families may enroll and pay for full-time or part-time care, depending on their individual needs. Programs include a morning nursery school, afternoon childcare, and a summer program.
Curriculum and Activities
The program helps each child develop confidence in themselves and their abilities to explore a learning rich environment. Children are grouped along developmental lines to assist in their development of skills in the motor, social and cognitive areas. These groups are then provided with stimulating and inventive activities, allowing for optimum creative and individual expression.
Activities include language arts, music, drama, gross motor activities, science, readiness skills for reading and math, and free play. Children take part in enrichment activities such as cooking activities, story telling and special events.
The nursery school is open from 9:00am to 12:00pm, Monday through Friday. Children may be enrolled for 2, 3, or 5 mornings per week from September through June. A calendar is posted on the school’s website indicating starting and closing dates, holidays, and school vacations.
The childcare program is open for early drop off at 8:00am and from 12:00pm to 6:00pm. The program is designed to be flexible in order to meet the varying needs of children and parents, allowing enrollment specifically for the hours and days that childcare is needed. Accordingly, tuition is based only on the hours of childcare used.
Auburndale Community also offers an 8 week summer program for children 2 years and 9 months to 6 years. Children will engage in enriching and creative indoor and outdoor activities, including arts & crafts, water play, sand and nature exploration, and music and games of all kinds. Pre-registration for the summer program is required.
Contact Auburndale Community Nursery to schedule an appointment to tour of the facilities and meet the teachers and staff. Enrollment is on a rolling basis. Tuition is based on the number of days per week enrolled for nursery school and total hours used for childcare.
