Detailed Information

The Hive connects campers aged 5-12+ with deCordova’s 30-acre Sculpture Park and Museum exhibitions. Kids explore real world ideas, unbounded creativity, and inspiring innovation. The five week-long theme-based sessions spark imaginations. Summer campers make their own amazing art projects. Each week culminates with campers designing and constructing an ambitious sculpture installation in the Park.

A week at The Hive is more than art making. It fosters communication, problem solving, and teamwork. Kids forge new friendships and build individual confidence. STEM/STEAM concepts are embedded throughout the camp. The interdisciplinary immersion relates to real world problem solving.

Summer Studio for Teens

Designed for kids aged 13+, the Summer Studio for Teens offers week-long afternoon programs. Participants will develop innovative and creative thinking while exploring art making techniques. Individual and collaborative projects are fueled by arts in the deCordova Park and Museum.

Extended Hours

Early drop-off at 8:30am is available.

February and April Break Camps

There are also programs offered during February and April vacation weeks. Designed primarily for families with children aged 5-12, the programs offer a connection to seasonal exhibitions, artist projects, sculptural installations, and a unique natural environment.
