Detailed Information

While not technically a summer camp, Boating Community offers a fun learning environment for kids throughout the summer. Kids aged 10-17 (must be able to swim) will engage in sailing, paddling and windsurfing lessons, STEM programs, games and other activities. They will enjoy a summer on the water learning to sail and making new friends. Each class is designed by skill level for novice, intermediate or advanced sailors and taught by nationally certified, world class instructors.

STEM programming combines robotics and sailing into an engineering challenge. Kids will program a model sailboat and will learn new skills in computer programming, electronics and mechanisms.

Schedule

The Junior Summer Program runs from mid-June through August. The docks are open from 8:30am – 3pm and classes are offered during morning or afternoon sessions.

Tuition

Fees are based on a generous need-based sliding scale, from $1 to $375 and includes membership, classes and boat usage. During online registration, the center’s fee calculator offers discounts based on household income and family makeup.
