Camp Hayward is an overnight camp for girls aged 7-16. Founded in 1928, Burgess is located on a 300 acre property along Spectacle Pond in Cape Cod, which is an approximately one hour drive south of Boston.
Campers engage daily in various outdoor activities. They will challenge themselves on a ropes course, learn outdoor living skills, and participate in multiple games on courts, fields and fresh water ponds.
Offering one-week and two-week sessions throughout the summer, Camp Hayward is located across the pond from Camp Burgess (the all boys camp).
A typical day will include camper chosen activities, time to relax, a beach party, adventure activities, and camp spirit time. Dozens of activities are offered each day.
- Sailing and kayaking
- Paddle boarding
- Performing arts
- Ropes course and climbing tower
- Volleyball, swimming and other sports
- Help grow food at Burgess Farm
Overnight, co-ed adventure trips, enable kids to explore various activities, including surfing, biking, or canoeing, among others. Kids develop self-confidence, form friendships, and learn new skills.
