Detailed Information

Founded in 1955, Beacon Hill Nursery School nurtures students’ curiosity to build a foundation for a lifelong love of learning. The summer program is an 8-week creative learning adventure for children aged 2-6 years. The program is open to all children, both students and non-students of BHNS, and children may enroll for as many weeks as they would like.

General Summer Program

The general program offers a half-day morning session that includes activities such as arts & crafts, music, yoga, pretend and free play, science & nature, stories and water play. There are two large, natural playscapes onsite that offer nature and science activities. The playscapes include water features, including a manual pump, waterfall and sprinkler.

Extended hours are available for children aged 2.9 and older for an additional fee, allowing for pick up at 3:30pm.

Morning snack is provided. Campers should bring lunch each day.

The general program is staffed by many of the same experienced school year teachers. The student-to-teacher ratio is maintained at or below 6:1.
