Miss Maria’s School of Dance is a recreational dance school offering classes for students aged 2 through teens at all levels. Over 100 classes in creative movement, ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, modern and pointe are offered each week. Children enjoy the wonders, excitement, and joys of dance. The School’s philosophy is to provide a safe and nurturing space where children feel comfortable to learn and express themselves through dance.
The dance program runs from September through June. Various programs are also offered throughout the summer.
In addition to dance classes and annual recitals, students have performance opportunities at community events such as The Watertown Faire on the Square, Belmont Town Day, and Watertown Rotary Club Senior Citizen Luncheons. Miss Maria’s students have performed during half-time shows at Boston College, Harvard University, Boston Breakers, and TD Garden Harlem Globetrotters Holiday Tour. Experienced dancers have opportunities to compete.
The dance instructors are highly-qualified professionals who are passionate about their craft and genuinely care for each student. Focus is placed on developing long-term relationships with students and helping them curate their personal journey through dance while always having fun.
Tuition is based on the September-June dance season and monthly rates are based on the number of classes taken per week.
Registration remains open through November until classes are full.
