Star Academy is a private school in Watertown that offers Preschool, PreK, Kindergarten, and Elementary education through grade 5.
The Star Academy’s primary objective is to capture a child’s natural curiosity and to develop his or her potential as a lifelong learner. Educational goals are based on thoughtfully planned recognition of what the parents need for their children and what children need to succeed.
Curriculum and Electives
An extensive curriculum combines traditional methods with innovative approaches that expose children to different spheres of knowledge and experiential learning. Emphasis is placed on delivering a strong academic curriculum.
Run on a quarterly basis, Star Academy exposes students to various electives during 2.5 month-long programs, which allows children to experiment with new concepts without a long term commitment. Elective classes are offered in math, foreign language, theater arts, music, physical education, and others.
The school provides hot organic meals throughout the school day and during extended care hours.
Check with the school for current tuition rates.
Extended care is available until 6:00pm daily for Star Academy students and for children from other schools. The basic program offers a hot meal, supervised homework time, and indoor or outdoor playtime.
Sister school, Baby Academy in Newton, offers care for preschool, PreK and Kindergarten students.
