Friends Childcare

Friends Childcare promotes learning while encouraging self-expression and individual growth for infants through pre-school aged children. The center provides an enriching environment, fostering social and emotional development. Kids build self-esteem and self-confidence.

Classrooms

• Infants – There are two infant classrooms, one for babies 6 weeks to 9 months and the second for children aged 9 months to 15 months. Caregivers will help babies with tummy time, rolling over, balancing, crawling, learning to talk, sign language, walking and listening.
• Toddlers – There are two toddler classrooms, divided by age: (i) 15 months to 2 years and (ii) 2 years to 2.9 years. Children will engage in many sensory based activities such as finger painting and Play-Doh. Emphasis is placed on learning independence, exploration, and creativity.
• Pre-School – There are two pre-school classrooms. Kids aged 2.9 – 4 years join the Caterpillar room and older kids up to age 5 years will be in the Butterfly room. The center takes a balanced literacy approach, integrating letters, words and sounds into both group and free choice activities.

Enrichment Activities

Friends Childcare offers various enrichment programs throughout the year. Kids will explore, sing, create crafts, and engage in active movement. Sample enrichment activities include Puddlestompers nature exploration, music and movement, and Amazing Athletes.
