Detailed Information

Beaver Summer Camp has been educating, entertaining, and engaging children for the past 80+ years. Designed to offer unforgettable experiences, Beaver provides the best of a traditional day camp as well as specialty programs that fuel emerging interests and talents.

The camp delivers exceptional experiences with programs catered to the interests and needs of kids at different ages and developmental stages. Beaver Summer Camp emphasizes quality in everything they do.

Programs

Programs are grouped into two-week sessions and are designed to provide adventure and fun for every camper. The general camp is broad enough to give children the biggest sampling of activities that Beaver offers, including sports, performing and visual arts, daily swimming, and much more. Specialty camps for the older kids include arts, trips and sports programs.

Staff

Beaver maintains low counselor-to-camper ratios and activities that are led by experienced adult specialists. Nearly 250 staff members are employed each summer. They are chosen for their depth of experience, quality of education, strength of character and love of children. The staff is comprised of teachers, former campers, college students, and professionals. Over 75% of the staff returns from the previous summers.

Meals

Morning snacks and daily lunches are included in tuition. Group counselors serve the meals and dine with campers. An example of the camp’s well-balanced lunches include chicken tenders, tacos, hamburgers, fresh fruits and vegetables, toss salad, bagels and deli sandwiches. The program is nut-free.

Transportation

Campers can enroll in weekly bus transportation to and from to and from the surrounding areas of Brookline and Boston. At least 2 Beaver trained staff members manage campers on the bus. Enrollment is on a first come, first serve basis. An additional fee applies.

Schedule

An extended schedule is available for early morning drop off at 7:30am and pick up at 6:00pm. An additional fee applies.
